What is a Group?
Groups are people that have a common purpose or interest.
How do I join a Group?
To see all available CommonPlace Groups, click All Groups on the home page. When you find a Group of interest, click on it to go to the Group page. Click the Join Group button.
How do I post?
Select My Groups from the top navigation. Select the Group you want to post in. Type your post in the editor area. Click the “Post Update” button to post your comment or question.
How do I get notified about a post?
If you are the originator of the post, you will be notified whenever a response or comment is made. If you are not the originator, you can “favorite” the post, and you will be notified whenever a response or comment is made.
Can I delete a post?
You can delete your own posts. Locate the post and click the Delete button.
How do I search the posts?
Enter your search term in the Search box in the top bar and click the Search icon. Click the “A” for advanced search functions. You can also search using the right-hand Search box when available.
How do I report a misbehaving member or inappropriate post?
Under the post, click the Flag button. Or, you can go to the Members page and flag the Member. Flagged posts and members will be reviewed by the moderators to determine appropriate action.
How do I cancel my membership?
To remove yourself as Member on CommonPlace, select Profile from the top navigation. Then select Setting > Delete Account under your Profile photo.
How do I edit my Profile?
Select Profile in the top navigation. Choose from the links to update your information.
Can I start a new Group?
Send a Group suggestion to email@example.com. Groups are evaluated by the Albert Wisner Library Board and CommonPlace Focus Group. Based on their review, the Group may or may not be added and you will be notified either way.
How do I remove myself from a Group?
Select My Groups from the top navigation. Select the Group you want to leave. Select the Leave Group button.
What do I do if I need help?
If your question is not any answered in the FAQs, please post in the CommonPlace group. If you do not get a response from the CommonPlace community, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do our best to respond within 24 – 48 hours.
